MELT IN MOUTH COOKIES 
1 1/2 c. plus 2 tbsp. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. butter, softened
2 eggs
2 c. light brown sugar, packed
2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 c. nuts, finely chopped

Sift together flour and baking powder; set aside. In large mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract until fluffy. Beat in flour mixture until smooth; stir in nuts. Drop by level measuring teaspoon, 2 inches apart. On non-stick cookie sheet, or cookie sheet lined in foil, then greased. Bake in preheated oven, 400 degrees for 5 to 6 minutes or until flat and lightly browned. Remove carefully, (cookies will be soft) with thin metal spatula to wire racks. Cool completely. Store loosely covered in dry place. Makes 80.
