WHOLE WHEAT BREAD | |
2 c. hot milk 2 tbsp. butter 3/4 c. honey 2 tbsp. salt 4 c. white flour 1/2 c. sunflower seeds 1/2 c. sesame seeds 1 1/2 oz. yeast 1 c. lukewarm water 5 c. whole wheat flour Heat milk and butter. Combine honey, salt and seeds. Add milk and mix. Add white flour. Dissolve yeast in water and add to mixture. Add whole wheat flour and mix well. Knead bread and let rise in warm place until double. Portion into loaves and let stand 10 minutes. put into pans and let rise. Bake at 350 degrees for 60 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from oven and butter tops. Makes three 24 ounce loaves. |
