DROP DONUTS 
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 tbsp. shortening
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
Oil for frying

In a 2 quart pot mix together flour, salt, baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon. In a 1 quart pot, mix sugar, vanilla and shortening. Mix well and add egg and milk.

When ready to cook, pour second pot into first pot, mixing as you pour. Spoon into hot deep fat. Remove when light brown. Shake in brown paper bag with 1/2 cup sugar.
