ROAST TURKEY 
12 to 15 lb. turkey
2 apples
2 tbsp. poultry seasoning
Salt
1 tbsp. pkg. chicken gravy mix
2 tbsp. shortening
1 tbsp. paprika

Sprinkle turkey cavity with salt. Quarter apples, roll them in poultry seasoning, sprinkle with packaged gravy mix, then place apples in turkey cavity. Truss turkey. Rub all over with blended shortening and paprika. Roast in a moderate oven (375 degrees) for 2 hours or until done. Baste frequently. Serve with mashed acorn squash. Serves 6.
