BEEF AND BISCUIT CASSEROLE 
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. chopped onion
1/4 c. diced green pepper
8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
3/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 (8 oz.) can refrigerated biscuits (10 in a can)
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
1 egg, slightly beaten

Brown the beef, onion and pepper, drain well. Stir in tomato sauce, chili and garlic. Simmer 10 minutes. Separate each of the 10 biscuits into 2 layers each. Use 1/2 to line bottom of an 8 inch pan (save remaining 1/2 of biscuits for the topping). Add ONLY 1/2 cup of the cheese with sour cream and egg, mix well.

Remove meat mixture from heat and stir in sour cream - spoon this over the bottom. Arrange remaining biscuits on top and add remaining cheese. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes OR until biscuits are brown. Serves 4.
