1 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
5 eggs
3 c. sugar
3 c. all-purpose flour, sifted
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix all ingredients well. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
