TOMATO PUDDING | |
#2 can tomatoes 1 c. brown sugar 1 tsp. salt 3/4 c. boiling water 3 c. white bread cubes 1/2 c. melted butter Strain tomatoes through a sieve into a saucepan, crushing pulp thoroughly. Add sugar and salt; mix well. Add boiling water. Bring mixture to a boil and boil for 5 minutes. Put bread cubes into a medium-sized casserole. Pour melted butter over cubes; stir. Add tomato mixture; stir. Bake, uncovered in preheated 375 degree oven for 50 minutes. |
