GLAZED ACORN RINGS 
2 acorn squash
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. packed brown sugar
1/4 c. light corn syrup
1/4 c. butter
2 tsp. grated lemon rind
1/8 tsp. salt

Cut ends of squash; slice cross-wise into rings and remove seeds. Layer rings in shallow baking dish; add orange juice. Cover and bake in preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Combine brown sugar and remaining ingredients; simmer 5 minutes and pour over squash rings and bake, uncovered, 15 minutes longer, basting occasionally.
