1/2 c. Crisco or oil
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. unsweetened applesauce
3 tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 rounded tbsp. cornstarch
2 level tsp. baking soda
1 c. raisins
1 c. walnuts
2 c. sifted flour
Pinch of salt

Cream the Crisco and sugar together. Add the applesauce and all the dry ingredients. Bake in greased and floured pan for about 1 hour in a 350 degree oven.
