MACARONI AND CHEESE 
4 c. drained, boiled macaroni (8 oz. uncooked)
1/4 lb. grated cheese
2 c. medium white sauce
Butter
Bread crumbs

WHITE SAUCE:

2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. milk

To the 2 cups white sauce, add grated cheese and macaroni. On top of casserole, add buttered bread crumbs. Bake until golden brown on top. Oven, 350 degrees, 30 to 40 minutes. 6-8 servings.

White Sauce: Heat butter in a 1 1/2 quart saucepan over low heat until melted. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth and bubbly; remove from heat. Stir in milk. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute.
