OLD-FASHIONED POT ROAST 
1 env. Lipton Onion Recipe Soup Mix
2 1/4 c. water
3 to 3 1/2 lbs. boneless pot roast (rump, chuck or round)

Conventional Directions: In Dutch oven, brown roast over medium heat. Add onion recipe soup mix blended with 2 1/4 cups water. Simmer covered, turning occasionally, 2 1/2 hours or until tender.

Microwave Directions: In 3 quart microwave-safe casserole, blend onion recipe soup mix and 1 1/4 cups water and microwave at High 5 minutes. Add roast and microwave uncovered 10 minutes, turning once. Microwave covered at DEFROST (30% power) turning occasionally 50 minutes or until tender. Let stand 10 minutes. If desired, thicken gravy.

Makes about 6 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
