PAT'S BEEF NOODLE CASSEROLE 
8 oz. egg noodles
2 tbsp. butter
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
8 oz. tomato sauce
1 tsp. sugar
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. cottage cheese
1 c. sour cream
1/2 c. chopped green onion
3/4 c. shredded Cheddar cheese

Cook noodles, rinse and drain. Melt butter and add meat, cooking over moderate heat. Add tomato sauce, salt and seasonings. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Mix noodles, cottage cheese, sour cream and onions. Put half of mixture into casserole dish and cover with half of meat mixture. Repeat. Top with cheese, bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
