BUTTER BISCUIT 
6 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. sugar
2 c. buttermilk
1 c. Crisco
1 tsp. baking soda
2 pkgs. yeast
1/4 c. warm water

Dissolve yeast in water; mix flour, soda and sugar. Cut in Crisco as for biscuit. Add buttermilk and yeast. Add milk mixture to flour; mix well. Put on a floured board, knead several times. Use the amount you need put other in covered bowl. Refrigerate. Will keep a week in refrigerator.

Roll out dough and cut. Put butter in pan that you are going to bake biscuits in; melt. Dip biscuits in butter (both sides) and cook in 400 degree oven for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
