1 c. sugar
1 c. molasses
1 c. shortening
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt

Mix all together. Add enough flour to handle. Roll out cut into shapes. When cool frost with: Beat 2 egg whites stiff add enough powdered sugar to spreading consistency. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
