CHILI SAUCE OR SALSA 
6 lbs. ripe tomatoes (peeled and quartered)
2 red hot peppers (optional)
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. allspice
1 tsp. cinnamon
6 lg. onions (peeled and quartered)
1 1/2 tbsp. salt
2 c. vinegar
1 tsp. black pepper

Grind or chop fine the tomatoes and onions. Pour off excess liquid if you want sauce to be thick. Add all this together in heavy saucepan, and cook on low heat for two hours. Check occasionally and stir because of thickness and sticking to saucepan. Put in hot sterilized jars and seal. Good to eat with dried beans or on hot dogs.
