FIRE SIDE BEEF STEW | |
2 lb. beef chuck or round steak, cut into 1 1/2" pieces 1 tbsp. browning sauce 1/4 c. dry cream of rice cereal 4 carrots, cut into 1 1/2" chunks 2 c. thinly sliced onions 1 clove garlic, minced 1/4 tsp. pepper 1/2-1 tsp. crushed thyme 1 tsp. salt 1 c. dry wine or beef broth 1 jar mushrooms 1 pkg. cooked noodles In Dutch oven or 3 quart casserole, toss meat with browning sauce. Mix in cereal, add all remaining ingredients, except noodles. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 2-2 1/2 hours. Until meat and vegetables are tender. Serve over cooked noodles. 8 servings. |
