OLD FASHIONED PERFECTION SALAD 
Thoroughly mix 2 envelopes (2 tablespoons) unflavored gelatin, 1/2 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon salt.

Add 1 1/2 cups boiling water and stir to dissolve gelatin. Then add 1 1/2 cups cold water, 1/2 cup vinegar, and 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Chill until partially set.

Add 2 cups finely shredded cabbage. Also add 1 cup chopped celery, 1/4 cup chopped green pepper, 1/4 cup diced pimento, and 1/3 cup stuffed green olives, sliced.

Pour into 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch loaf pan. Chill until firm. Unmold and garnish with carrot curls and sliced ripe olives. Dress with mayonnaise, if desired.

Very good with almost any meat.
