BEEF BALLS PORCUPINE 
1/2 c. raw rice
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1 minced onion
2 tbsp. parsley
1 pinch each - basil and oregano
Salt and freshly ground pepper
1 clove minced garlic
1 sliced onion
1/2 green pepper
1 can tomato puree
Additional tomato juice

Combine first 8 ingredients, shape meat into tiny balls and brown. In another skillet saute sliced onion and green pepper in fat or oil, add meat balls, tomato puree and a can of water. Simmer for about an hour or until done. A little Burgundy, about 2 tablespoons in the gravy ten minutes before the dish is ready will add delicious flavor.
