N. E. RED CLAM CHOWDER 
1/2 lb. salt pork
2 lg. onions
1 pt. raw quahogs
1 pt. raw clams
2 pts. clam juice (4 sm. bottles)
1 qt. tomato juice
3 lg. potatoes, diced

Cut up salt pork. Using coarse cutter, grind. Grind onions. Fry both for 5 minutes. Grind quahogs and clams. Add with clam juice, set on low heat for 1 hour. Add diced potatoes. Remove from heat.
