1 lb. butter 3 egg yolks (save whites for use later) 4 c. unsifted flour 1 1/2 c. sour cream Filling: 1 1/2 c. grated walnuts 1 1/2 c. sugar You will also need 6 sheets of Saran Wrap. Mix butter and flour until it forms dough. Separately mix yolks and sour cream; mix well and then add to dough. Separate into 6 balls and wrap in Saran Wrap. Refrigerate 6 hours or overnight. Roll dough into a 12-inch circle. Spread filling out into triangles. Start at wide edge and roll so that the point is under. Curve into half moon. Spray cookie sheet. Brush egg white over top and sprinkle with filling. Preheat oven to 350°F. Bake 15 to 20 minutes, depending on size. Makes 6. |
