MACARONI AND CHEESE 
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
3 c. cooked macaroni

1. Place butter in a 1 to 1 1/2 quart casserole. Microwave cook, high power, 30 seconds to melt.

2. Stir in flour, salt and pepper to form a smooth paste. Slowly stir in milk.

3. Microcook, 80% power, uncovered, 6-8 minutes. Stir every 2 minutes until thickened.

4. Stir in cheese until it melts. Add macaroni and combine with sauce.

5. Top with bread crumbs if desired. Microwave in high power, 2-3 minutes.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
