MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE 
1 1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
2 squares chocolate
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. vanilla

Cream sugar and shortening; add egg and mix well. Melt chocolate in 1 cup boiling water; add alternately to creamed sugar/shortening with sifted dry ingredients. Add vanilla. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Makes 1 small 8x8 inch cake or 12 cupcakes.
