PEAR PRESERVES | |
4 lbs. pears 6 c. sugar 3 c. water Peel, core and slice pears about 1/4 inch thick. Combine sugar and water; cook about 10 minutes. Add pears and cook at medium boil until pears look pink and clear, being careful not to overcook (about 1 to 2 hours). Seal in hot, sterilized jars. Makes about 4 pints. |
