STRAWBERRIES A LA MODE 
1 qt. ripe strawberries
1 tbsp. sugar
1 c. vanilla ice cream
1/4 c. raspberry sherbet
1 c. heavy whipping cream
1 tsp. powdered sugar

Set 6 large berries aside. Slice remaining berries and put in a glass bowl. Sprinkle sugar over top. Cover and refrigerate about 3 hours.

Whip cream and sweeten with 1 teaspoon powdered sugar. To serve, mix ice cream and sherbet into berries. Spoon into chilled sherbet glasses. Spoon whipped cream on top. Garnish with whole berries.
