CHOCOLATE TURTLES 
150 pecan halves (about 3 cups)
50 caramels
8 oz. semi-sweet chocolates

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. On greased baking sheets, arrange the pecan halves in groups of three, end to end. Place caramel on top of each cluster. Place in oven until caramels soften and flatten caramel over pecans with buttered spoon. Cool slightly. Melt chocolate in the top of a double boiler over simmering water. Dip the turtles into the chocolate and cool on wax paper. Store in tightly covered containers in cool place. Yields 50 chocolate turtles.
