CHOP-APPLE-KRAUT DINNER 
4 lean pork chops, trimmed
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
1 1/2 tsp. caraway seed
1 tsp. brown sugar
2 1/2 c. sauerkraut, undrained
3 tbsp. onion, chopped
2 cooking apples, cored and sliced
1/2 c. water

Brown chops in skillet; season with salt and pepper. Remove chops from pan; drain off drippings. Combine remaining ingredients in pan; mix thoroughly. Top kraut mixture with chops. Cover, cook over low heat for 1 hour or until meat is tender.r Baste chops with pan juices several times during cooking. Serves 4. (Polish sausage may be substituted for pork chops)
