FUDGE MINT TORTE | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces 1 c. butter 1 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar 4 eggs 1 1/2 c. sifted flour FILLING: 2 c. heavy cream 1/4 to 1/3 c. cream de menthe 2 tbsp. confectioners' sugar Grease 3 (9 inch) round cake pans. Line with waxed paper. Grease paper. Melt chocolate together with butter. Remove from heat and transfer to a large mixing bowl. Beat in sugar and beat in eggs, 1 at a time. Beat in flour until well-blended. Divide evenly into 3 pans, bake in 375 degree preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Take out cake and layer with filling. To make filling, whip filling ingredients until stiff. |
