BROWNIES 
1/2 c. shortening (part butter, part Crisco)
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. milk
2 squares chocolate, melted & cooled
1/8 tsp. salt
1 c. flour, sifted
2/3 c. broken walnuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add all the rest of the ingredients, except nuts. Beat together at medium speed for three minutes, add nuts. Pour into a 9" pan. Bake for 25 minutes at 325 degrees. Frost with chocolate frosting while still warm. Cut into squares.
