MERINGUE COOKIES 
2 egg whites
3/4 c. granulated sugar
3 drops vanilla
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Red or green food coloring

Beat egg whites and cream of tartar until egg whites are stiff. Gradually add sugar. Fold in carefully: 1 (6 ounce) chocolate chips. DO NOT BEAT. Add 3 drops of vanilla and pink or green food coloring. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Put in oven. Turn off oven. Leave in oven overnight. DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR.
