SOUR CREAM APPLE PIE WITH
STREUSEL TOPPING
 
1 c. sour cream
2 tbsp. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
3 tsp. apple pie spices
3 tart apples
1 recipe plain pastry

Beat together sour cream, sugar, flour, salt, spices, vanilla and egg. Add apples. Pour into 9 inch unbaked pie shell and bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes. Sprinkle with Streusel topping (recipe below) and bake for 20 minutes more.

TOPPING:

1/2 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. flour
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Mix together until crumbly.
