W.R.'S OYSTER STEW | |
4 tall cans Carnation milk 3 tall cans water 1 pt. oysters 1 stick butter Salt & pepper to taste Pour milk and water into large heavy pot. Keep stirring until just before a boil is reached; add oysters. Stir once again until just about to boil and add salt, pepper and butter. Stew is done when butter has completely melted. Serve with little oyster crackers or regular saltines. The secret to a good stew, according to my Dad, is to keep it well stirred. |
