TEXAS COLE SLAW | |
1 1/2 lb. head cabbage 1 med. onion 1/2 green pepper 1/4 c. sugar 1/2 tsp. celery seed 1/2 c. salad oil 1/2 c. vinegar 1 tbsp. sugar 1/2 tsp. dry mustard 1 tsp. salt Chop or shred cabbage and place in a bowl with finely chopped onion and green pepper. Sprinkle with 1/4 cup sugar and toss lightly to blend. In a saucepan combine remaining ingredients and bring to a boil. Pour over cabbage mixture while hot. Toss to mix; chill, covered, for at least 4 hours. |
