WHOLE WHEAT GINGER BREAD | |
1/3 c. vegetable oil 1/2 c. wheat germ 1 egg 2/3 c. dark molasses 1/3 c. honey 3/4 c. sour milk, buttermilk or yogurt 1 c. whole wheat flour 3 tsp. double acting baking powder 1/4 c. powdered milk 2 tsp. ginger 1 tsp. cinnamon 1/2 tsp. salt Combine oil, wheat germ, egg, molasses, honey, and sour milk, buttermilk or yogurt. Stir well, about 20 strokes. Sift in flour, baking powder, powdered milk, ginger, cinnamon, and salt. Pour batter into greased bread pan and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. |
