CAJUN MUSHROOMS | |
5 (12 oz.) trays fresh, white mushrooms teriyaki sauce Worcestershire sauce butter Tabasco sauce flour white wine (optional) salt and pepper Wash and trim mushrooms. Place some butter in frying pan and add enough mushrooms to cover bottom. Use medium heat; sprinkle with garlic powder to coat. Add 3 tablespoons teriyaki sauce and a few shakes of Tabasco sauce. Add splash of wine if desired. Cook for about 5 to 10 minutes. Do not overcook. When cooked, transfer to a crock-pot, saving the liquid in another pot. Continue making batches until complete. Bring reserved liquid to boil and slowly add flour to make gravy. Cook until pastry taste is gone. Pour over mushrooms in crock-pot; heat on low until ready to serve, adding more Tabasco sauce if spicier flavor is desired. |
