BAKED APPLE DUMPLINGS 
1 c. sugar
1 c. water
1 c. all-purpose flour
2 tbsp. baking powder
2 tbsp. Crisco shortening
1/2 tsp. salt
3-4 apples, chopped fine

Boil the sugar and water. Mix other ingredients with milk like pie dough. Roll dough out and put chopped apples on top. Sprinkle with a little sugar, cinnamon and butter. Roll like a jelly roll and cut 1 1/2 inches thick. Put syrup in a baking pan. Lay dough on top and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
