LARGE SUGAR COOKIE RECIPE | |
4 lbs. 8 oz. flour (4 1/2 qts.) 2 1/2 oz. baking powder (6 2/3 tbsp.) 4 tsp. salt 6 c. butter (3 lbs.) or 1 can butter flavor Crisco 4 lbs. (1 - 4 lb. bag) sugar 16 eggs 4 tbsp. real vanilla Mix together flour, baking powder and salt. Cream together the butter or Crisco and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Combine with dry mixture and mix thoroughly. Dough may need to be mixed by hand because of large volume. Can divide dough into portions and flavor as desired. Example: chocolate chips, oatmeal, peppermint, wheat germ, nuts, coconut, etc. (a combination or one of the above). Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 12 minutes. Cookie dough can be frozen in rolls for baking later. Yield: 50 dozen. |
