KANSAS CITY RIBS 
ribs
1 onion
1 orange
1 tbsp. whole peppercorns
1 tbsp. whole coriander seed
enough water to cover ribs
3 tbsp. butter
1 medium onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/4 c. cider vinegar
1/4 c. brown sugar, packed
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper

Simmer for approximately 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Place ribs on hot grill and sear on both sides. Brush sauce generously on both sides of the ribs and cook for an additional few minutes.
