SCOTCH TOFFEE BARS 
1/2 c. melted butter
2 c. oats
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. dark corn syrup
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

TOPPING:

1 (6 oz.) chocolate chips, melted
1/4 c. chopped nuts

Pour butter over oats, mix thoroughly. Add sugar, syrup, salt and vanilla. Blend well. Pack firmly into greased 7 x 11 inch pan. Bake in preheated 450 degree oven 12 minutes. Loosen edges, turn out of pan. spread with melted chips. Sprinkle with nuts. Chill. Cut in bars. Keep refrigerated.
