CHERRY NUT BARS 
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. butter

Mix together until crumbly. Press into 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Bake 20 minutes at 350 degrees until lightly brown.

Blend together: 1 c. brown sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. baking powder 1/2 tsp. vanilla 1 (12 oz.) jar maraschino cherries (cut, save juice) 1/2 c. walnuts (chopped) 1/2 c. flaked coconut

Stir cherries, nuts and coconut into egg mixture. Pour onto baked crust. Again bake 20 minutes. Cool.

FROSTING:

Combine: 2 c. powdered sugar Enough cherry juice to spread easily

Frost. Cool. Cut into bars and serve.
