HARDIE'S BISCUITS 
Mix together:

2 1/2 c. self-rising flour
1/2 c. cooking oil

Dissolve 1/2 package dry yeast with 1/8 cup warm water. Mix together:

1 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tbsp. sugar

Blend flour and oil mixture with yeast mixture. Add buttermilk and stir well. Chill in refrigerator. When ready to use, roll out batter thicker than usual. Cut desired number of biscuits and bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Batter will keep in refrigerator for 2 weeks.

I discovered by accident - the almost exact biscuit. Using the Bisquick recipe for biscuits - I just added a few shakes of dried minced onion. You don't taste the onion - but it gives the biscuit a sweet taste. Above is an excellent recipe though. When you do bake - brush them with melted butter once you remove them from oven. Yummy!
