RUSSIAN TEA CAKES | |
2 c. butter, softened 1 c. powdered sugar 2 tsp. vanilla 4 1/2 c. flour 1/2 tsp. salt 1 1/2 c. nuts, finely chopped Mix butter, sugar and vanilla. Stir in flour and salt. Mix in nuts. Chill. Heat oven to 400 degrees. Roll mixture into 1" balls. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Cool and roll in powdered sugar again. I put brown paper on the cookie sheet to keep the bottoms of the cookies from burning too badly. |
