COCONUT CREAM CHEESE POUND CAKE 
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
3 c. sugar
6 eggs
3 c. all-purpose flour, sift before measuring
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 (6 oz.) pkg. frozen coconut, thawed
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. coconut flavoring

Cream butter, cream cheese, and shortening. Gradually add sugar, beating at a medium speed until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Resift flour with baking powder and salt. Add sifted ingredients to cream mixture at a low speed. Mix only until well blended. Fold in coconut and flavorings. Pour in greased and floured tube pan. Bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour 15 minutes. Cool for 10 to 15 minutes before removing from pan, then cool.
