NO - KNEAD KOLACKY 
1/4 c. shortening
1/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. scalded milk
1/2 c. water
1 pkg. yeast, dissolved as directed on pkg.
1 egg
4 c. flour, sifted
Prunes or apricots, pitted
Nuts, chopped

Combine shortening, sugar, salt and scalded milk. Cool to lukewarm by adding 1/2 cup water. Add 1 package of yeast dissolved as directed on package. Mix well. Blend in 1 egg. Add gradually, 4 cups sifted flour. Mix until well blended. Roll out on well floured board to 1/2 inch thickness. Cut with 2 1/2 inch cutter. Place on greased baking sheet. Let rise in warm place until double in bulk. Press indentation in center of each bun. Place a pitted, cooked prune or apricot dipped in chopped nuts in each indentation. Bake in moderate oven at 350 degrees 20 minutes. Combine: 4 tsp. warm milk 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Drip over warm kolacky.

The amount of water used to dissolve dry yeast must be subtracted from total liquid in recipe.
