CREAMY VEGETABLE SOUP 
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen mixed vegetables
1/2 c. celery, sliced 1/4 inch thick
3 c. milk
1/2 sm. onion, sliced
1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 c. bacon drippings, butter, or butter
8 slices crisp fried bacon, broken into 1/2 inch pieces

Cook frozen vegetables and celery in water to cover until tender; drain and keep warm. Put 1 cup milk and next 4 ingredients in blender on grate, speed 3, 15 seconds or until onions are finely chopped. Pour into heavy saucepan; add remaining milk and drippings or butter. Cook, stirring constantly, until hot and slightly thickened. Add cooked vegetables and bacon; heat and serve.
