1/2 c. shortening (half butter)
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 2/3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. sour cream

Cream shortening, sugar, egg and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, soda, salt and nutmeg. Alternate with sour cream. Roll 1/4 inch thick and cut with 2 inch cutter and sprinkle with sugar. Bake 8-10 minutes at 425 degrees.
