CUSTARD PIE MADE WIT EAGLE BRAND
MILK
 
1 unbaked 9" pastry shell
2/3 c. Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
2 c. real hot water from tap
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
3 eggs, beaten

In a medium size bowl, blend together milk, water, salt and vanilla extract. Stir condensed milk milk in small size bowl. Beat eggs until just blended. Mix all ingredients together and pour into shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg. bake in very hot oven, 425 degrees 10 minutes. Reduce oven to slow, 300 degrees and bake 20 to 25 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.

To make coconut custard, add 1 cup flaked coconut to custard mixture. Bake as usual, sprinkle toasted coconut on top.
