COLD SPICED FRUIT | |
2 unpeeled oranges, sliced & seeded 1 (20 oz.) can pineapple chunks 1 (16 oz.) can sliced peaches 1 (29 oz.) can pears 1 (16 oz.) can apricot halves 3/4 c. sugar 1/2 c. vinegar 4 cinnamon sticks 5-7 whole cloves 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cherry Jello Cut orange slices in half; place in saucepan and cover with water. Simmer until rind is tender; drain well and set aside. Drain canned fruit well, reserving all of pineapple and half of peach and apricot juice. Combine reserved juice, sugar, vinegar, cloves, cinnamon and gelatin. Simmer 30 minutes. Combine fruits in 9 cup container; pour hot juice mixture over fruit. Refrigerate at least 24 hours. Serves 15. |
