MY FAVORITE RICE KRISPIE COOKIES | |
1/2 c. shortening 1/2 c. white sugar 1/2 c. brown sugar 1 egg 1 c. flour 1/2 tsp. baking soda 1/4 tsp. baking powder 1 c. quick oats 1 c. Rice Krispies cereal 1 tsp. vanilla Pecan halves Cream together shortening and sugar. Add egg. Mix in flour, baking soda, baking powder. Add vanilla. Then stir in oats and Rice Krispies. Make 1 inch balls. Place on a greased cookie sheet. Press with a spoon dipped in water (keeps from sticking). Top with pecan half one each cookie. Bake 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Makes 5 dozen. |
