BREAD PUDDING 
5 slices bread
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 c. moist raisins
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
3 eggs, beaten
3 c. milk, scalded (to scald milk - heat but do not boil)
1/4 tsp. cinnamon

Toast bread and spread with butter while hot. Arrange toast in buttered baking dish (10 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 2 inches). Sprinkle with raisins. Beat eggs, salt and all but 2 teaspoons sugar. Add milk and mix well. Pour over toast. Let stand 10 minutes.

Press toast down into milk, so that most of the milk will be soaked up. Mix cinnamon and remaining sugar and sprinkle over top. Bake 25 minutes at 350 degrees or until knife inserted in middle comes out clean and top is browned. 5 to 6 servings.
