2 c. flour 1/2 c. cornstarch 1 tbsp. powdered alum 2 c. water 1 scant c. salt 1 tbsp. salad oil Place all ingredients in a saucepan, stir constantly over low heat until mixture thickens into dough consistency. Remove from heat and let cool until it can be handled. Place on waxed paper or formica top and knead like bread dough until smooth. Add food color, if you wish. Store in airtight container or plastic bag. |
